Cabinet Finisher/ Painter

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• 2-5+ years of cabinet finishing experience
• Experience with spray guns, sanding, color blending, color matching and touch-up

Principal Duties / Responsibilities

• Work in finish department using spray gun to lacquer, paint, and topcoat finished products
• Various stain application techniques
• Sanding cabinetry before painting and in between each coat
• Inspecting all pieces before finishing
• Maintain and care of cleanliness of spray room, chemicals, and all finishing equipment
• Responsible for production work and learning the trade
• Plans and paces own work efficiency in order to meet daily weekly, project, or team related production goals
• Ability to effectively communicate with team and customers
• Ensures that sub-assembled and assembled items meet specific quality specifications; may propose process improvements in order to increase finished quality or efficiency of assembled processes
• Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers
• Works as a helper for various departments
• Willingness to be cross-trained and adapt to varying assembly roles
• Able to competently operate a powered drill and use hand tools such as tape measure, hammer, mallet, scraper, utility knife, etc.
• Able to log time and attendance on production computer
• Must arrive and depart from work as per specified schedule. May be asked to work extended hours
• Maintains professional attitude when approaching work assignments

• May be required to perform specific tasks that involve lifting, pushing or kneeling

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Have or be able to obtain medical examiner’s certificate
• Able to pass pre-employment, random and post-accident drug screenings subject to DOT regulations

• 1+ years delivery driver experience
• 1+ years commercial driving experience

Principal Duties / Responsibilities

• Comply with all Company, OSHA, DOT and WISHA safety standards
• Fully comply with FCMSA/DOT rules and regulations
• Drive safely, following all laws and rules of the road
• Ability to work in physically demanding jobs, including standing, kneeling, bending, lifting (up to 80 pounds) and working at varying heights
• Prepares shipments and examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
• Audit materials to ensure load accuracy
• Fully load and unload company fleet each day in a safe, efficient manner
• Carry individual cabinets by hand from location-to-location each day
• Maintain a clean driving record throughout employment
• Must have flexible daily schedule based on dispatching needs
• Perform other assigned positions per company needs when not driving
• Clean loading area before / after loading vehicle. Maintain all shipping equipment.

• Knowledge of Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) Standards

Principal Duties / Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality custom woodworking products
  • Reception Desks, Benches/ Banquet Seating, Wall Panel Systems, Die Wall, Displays, Tables, etc.
• Ability to read Architectural/Shop drawings
• Must be mechanically adept with a comprehensive understanding of common industry machinery, equipment, and tooling including Shapers and CNC machining centers is a plus
• Ability to juggle a diverse and variable workload
• Skills and experience must include working from shop drawings on complex layout and fabrication
• Must be experienced across a broad range of millwork fabrication
• Able to coordinate well with others and be able to supervise less skilled workers as needed
• Keen understanding of solid lumber, laminates, veneers, glass/ acrylics/ plastics, solid surface materials
• Solid knowledge of different construction/assembly methods is required

Principal Duties / Responsibilities

• Responsible for assembling fabricated cabinets from pre-cut stock
• Specific duties include obtaining pre-kitted stock, and to pre-measure components to ensure part cut accuracy
• Verify measurements to ensure that the finished product meets requirements
• Use woodworking machines to create finished edges, boring or routing holes for the insertion of screws and other fasteners during assembly
• Other tasks include performing finish sanding, installing drawers, hardware, (hinges, pulls, glass, locks, catches, etc.) and moving finish cabinet parts on a cart
• Able to read and comprehend job specifications from plan and work orders
• Account for time and material using the company’s computer system
• Maintain a clean work area
• Assures the quality of product is acceptable
• Assembles fixtures or subcomponents in accordance to specified guidelines
• Glues, fits, screws (and infrequently nails), and clamps components during the assembly process
• Provides quality checks of personal assembly tasks as well as quality checks of all component parts

• Assures that parts of subassemblies and finished product are labeled correctly
